Right Thing, Right Now (Book 1 of 2025)
A wonderful reminder of integrity, justice, and doing the RIGHT thing even when it hurts.
“Good Values. Good Character. Good Deeds.”
The first book I read this year was a book by Ryan Holiday, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Obstacle is the Way and The Daily Stoic. Right Thing, Right Now was an incredible plane read that focused on Good Morals. It tackled the ideas of morality as a whole and often referenced incredible movement leaders and the moves they made to stay moral and just despite whatever they faced in the moment.
Overall I would give this book a 7/10 rating — one of the main things holding me back was the book on morals was also virtue signaling. I believe Ryan was well intentioned but his place in ‘Justice’ was misplaced in stories of causes that were not moral or just but selfish and filled with hate. Regardless of that, I believe there are incredible truths and principles from this book that any mature discerning person could adopt into their lives.
